Families love connecting through hands-on classic arcade games, teens dig hanging out, and after 9PM Coins becomes the local hangout for the 21+ crowd looking to challenge friends to fun games while enjoying a brewski.
Kale Miller, 27, opened Coins Arcade and Bar June 28 2019. Located upstairs in the Cedar Street Bridge, Coins Arcade features retro games. Cocktail game tables offer 60 old favorites such as Pac Man, Dig Dug, Centipede, Space Invaders, Galaga and more. Expect an air hockey table, Rush (a sit-down driving game), Hoop Shoot, Skee Ball, and Miller’s favorite, SIX classic pinball games.
Family and youth friendly all days through early evenings, Coins is 21 and over Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights after 9pm.
Coins Arcade serves a number of bottled and draft beers, Belinis, wine, Pepsi products, and several fresh prepared items such as Pizza, tater tots, quesadillas, pretzel bites with pub cheese, hot dogs and other tasty snacks.
Miller, who has lived in Sandpoint since 2003, saw a need to expand inside entertainment options. “I want Coins Arcade and Bar to be a fun place where young people can hang out, families can connect, and adults can enjoy a beer or glass of wine while challenging friends in games that are different than what they are playing at home.”
“I will rotate other games in as I get requests,” Miller says.
Now up and running, Coins hosts company parties, team-building events, birthday parties, and Mario Kart tournaments.
Coins is open Wednesday 2 – 9, Thursday and Friday 2 – Midnight, Saturday noon – 12am, and Sunday 10 – 9 with additional days and hours for private parties and events.
Coins Arcade is Sandpoint’s first Arcade and Bar.
